Humble Pie or Birthday Cake?

Inspiration
GOD through His Word, the I-Heart film, and my own personal desire to help people anywhere in whatever way I can.
What
For my birthday this past December, I decided to bring my friends with me to volunteer and serve at our local soup kitchen instead of having a typical birthday party. It was a humbling experience, but it was SO fulfilling! I find myself continuing to volunteer there more and more!
How
I checked the website for our local soup kitchen called "The Knight's Table" and called them up. They booked us in to come and help for the day, and that's exactly what we did. We helped cook and prepare the meals, served the food, and washed/dried the dishes. It was a lot of work, but it was so worth it! Definitely a birthday that I'll never forget!
