Shane ClaIbourne's book "The Irresistible Revolution"
How
In this book he talks about how we always will pray for saftey and security a.k.a traveling mercies when leaving for mission trips. He mentions the idea of instead of praying for the above pray for god to reveal himself to you by any means neccecary. I mean just think if we went into any metropoliton area and just walked the streets where homelessness runs rampant and would just pray and hand out a sandwhich or a bottle of water, what do you think we could achieve?Just by showing love and compassion to the forgotten and unwanted of the world we could completly neutralize homlessness. It's like mother Theresa in a way, she went to India and lived, ate, and slept with the untouchables. For anyone who doesn't know, India functions on a caste system in which you are born into a certain caste and can never improve the conditions of your life in society. Imagine just showing the love of Christ real unconditional love to these people. We could change the world.

I live in Atlanta too. Let's get out there! :]
I live in Sydney but next time I go to the city, I'm gonna do this... that is, only if I can remember! I'm going to put it in my phone reminder.
Yes, we really need to change our hearts and don't think anything negative but that everyone are precious and irreplacable! Because our hearts overflows to others of what's in it!
