Talking about what could be done to combat injustice in our world and how many in the church have put it very low on their list if its on their at all. Not to mention people are pretty indifferent to the church because they aren't seeing much light.

Mainly my inspiration is when God said something like, 'when you give yourself to the poor than your light will rise in the darkness and you will become like the noonday"...somethign like that..

My idea and soon to be action (already talked to pastor) is to get a group of people together who are passionate about facing injustice and starting a love revolution. Getting these people together within a local church body in order to pray and act on what steps to take, to abolish injustice in our communities (pretty much just be a strong presence in the community) and the world and let the church's light shine to the whole world. Just thinking, many churches have a youth group, a sunday morning, a sunday shcol class...but how many have an injustice group? What if more churches had groups geared towards facing injustice? What kind of light would we shine on the world? I don't know exactly what would happen, but I believe that part of what Jesus planned the church to be was a church that stands for what He stands for.

Having the church be a strong presence in the community is so important. Its where the church truly becomes the church! Pray you get a group of enthusiastic world changers together and truly make a change in your community. Imagine the impact we could have for Christ if others grabbed hold of this too!

amen. God has placed justice on my heart a lot lately. and i've seen how much its missing from the church. keep on following what God's showing you and He'll make a way.
