Left Over, Overflow

Inspiration
I work at a cafe where I throw away ridiculous amounts of food everyday and then walk past hungry people on the streets as I come home.
What
I fed the hungry.
How
When I go out to eat I will box up any left over food that I have in a take-away container. Then, if I pass anyone that is homeless or just looks like they could appreciate a meal...I offer it to them. It's getting harder and harder for people all over the world to get food with the high food costs so why not use the extra that I have to meet the need? Another easy thing I do is just to take some snacks in my bag with me when I go out and I can offer it to someone in need should I cross their path. It's so simple!

I'm glad to see other people doing this- it's a simple thing we can do everyday to help, thanks!
This is something I have always struggled with grasping. It hurts me to see so many food companies throwing away perfectly good food when there are so many who would literally DIE to have it.
If you get the chance, look up Brandt Russo. He's a very admirable man who has been touched by this concept and has put it into action in incredible ways.
