Handcrafted sleeping bag

Homelessness
Brazil, South Africa, World
Inspiration
Every year, lots of homeless people around the world die because of the cold days during the winter. Even here in Brazil, a tropical country, people die at dawn while sleeping on the street
How
The idea is very simple! It is a sleeping bag made with newspaper, adhesive tape to keep about 5 leaves together, and plastic purchased by meter, or feet.

It is really warm, protect agaisnt the rain, wind, and cold. It is simple to do and cheap. We cant give home for all these people, but we can make their lives a little bit better.

Actually this idea is already being used in South Africa and was invented by a brazilian pastor, Silmar Wilbert.
Wilbert taught a group of teenagers of church how to do and we did 20 sleeping bags!!! =D

Neat! Another way to recycle is use old t-shirts to use instead of newspapers. I'm sure everyone has old clothes they can use to patch up for an "upgraded" sleeping bag!

Yes, it's also a good idea. The advantage of the newspaper is keeping the bag dry, because the paper absorb the moisture, while the clothes can become wet, making the bag colder.
