Neighbourhood need (this Christmas...)
PovertyInspiration
Every year my family have a great Christmas. I often get given things that i never needed and that i honestly wouldnt miss out on had i never got them.
Where i grew up though, it only took a walk down the street to find a family who didnt know how they would afford anything for the kids to recieve at Christmas and the thought of missing the smile on their childrens faces was something that broke their hearts as much as it did the childrens.
Often times, they were single parents working overtime simply to provide the bare essentials... feeling hopeless... but honeslty giving their all... Beautiful people in trying times...

What
All it took was a little time and a little finance. Getting to know some of these people was an experience i wouldnt trade for anything! But seeing the faces when we arrived with gifts for them and their children as well as food for the table was priceless.
The sense of hope being restored was the best part of all!

How
We made a decision to get to know the people around us.
We decided that the best way to show love was to build relationship and meet them at their point of need.
We got a few people to bake food for us and we did a little shopping trip for pressies.
(It honestly doesnt need to break the budget to change a life!)
We knocked on the door a week before Christmas, had tea, helped them with things needing to be done around the house (as we often did)
...and then... Gave!
