Inspiration
Okay, so a few months ago one of the ladies in our church (who also happens to be our social sciences school teacher) was diagnosed with cancer. She's going through Chimo now, but the worst part is, her insurance won't pay for a bit of it and her husband has been working FOUR jobs to try and pay for it all... so our humble little school Christian group (about 6-8 members) asked "What can we do about this?"

We couldn't pay for her treatment... we could hardly even visit her (her immune system is so bad she is rarely allowed to have visitors)... so we decided to show that we cared by getting together one day after school and making her a HUGE pot of soup. We all signed a card, told her we loved her, and had our group leader deliver the food. We know we couldn't to much... but we did what we could, and that's what's important.
How
So here's the idea. What if everyone just took a look around their community or their church and found someone in a similar position? Perhaps someone sick, or someone who can't take care of themselves, and got together with some friends and made a simple meal. Not a big project, by any means. But I think when you're lonely, sick and probably depressed, to know that someone cares and loves you can go a really really long way.

No matter how helpless we may seem, if we just pray and ask GOD to lead us and open our eyes by His Spirit, He'll reveal to us the needs around us and show us how we can meet them - or if not SOLVE them, then CONTRIBUTE to the solution.
