In my day to day life of being American I am bombarded with the need of the world via the news, churches, print, web and I realized so many hurt and damaged were in my backyard.

It basically started with my network of friends. Friends who either were involved in video production or music. I started hearing about people in my backyard who came across hard times. Either because of the economy or because of unforseen circumstances (such as a parent passing away). These stories started to mess with my head and I realized I needed to do something about it.

I began to meet with some of these families and individuals. I told them that I wanted to tell their story and that I was a songwriter. Almost everyone was excited about the idea. So we've begun interviewing families capturing their hearts on film. From there me and some fellow musicians have gone into a music studio and do what we love most; write good music. Thankfully it's music with a focus and a purpose. The project is not finished yet so stay tuned...

To me the "how" and the "what" are quite similar. I guess the "how" was really just taking a good long look at my world around me and going I can do something. The idea of changing the world is always in our face. I reckon most of us flake out cause it becomes to big. If we can change the worlds in which we exist then the natural effect is for it to filter down to others.
