Re: IssueTWO-processing hope
10 minutes left on God's birthday...The main message I got this week is that He's got a BIGGER PLAN than we can ever imagine, so I figure whatever I decide to hope for in this coming year needs to be bigger:

Re: IssueTWO - SPREADING THE LOVE IN PERU
Every two or three months the youth of my church get together for a project called Servolución - "Servolution" being in English. It's about creating a culture of radical youth who have the heart to serve others through simple acts of compassion.
For the holidays, the whole team decided to help a needy family in extreme poverty by providing canned goods, new material + other necessities. It was truly an amazing expierience, to have the chance to serve + love others.
It's incredible how in the beginning you think to yourself that you're going to give rather than receive, when in the end, you receive as much as you gave in the first place! Maybe not physically, but spiritually. All of these acts of love really do build up inside and gives you that spiritual muscle our generation has been crying out for.

Re: IssueTWO Humbled
This may a lot later than the other posts, but this holiday season has been...special.
Over this past year, God has been teaching me a lot about true humility.
As it says in Philippians 2:3- Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
This verse is my Testimony for 2009.
During my teenage years I was pretty typical, thinking that the whole world revolved around me, wondering what I could get out of life and others in my life.
My heart seriously grieves even writing this because I feel so ashamed seeing the way I was...but that person is gone.
Now I see my world in a whole new perspective.
I have a whole new sense of gratitude yes, but it's more than that...I have SUCH a strong desire to help OTHERS now!
So this Christmas I decided to do at least one random act of kindness for someone every day.
I won't share them all, but the one that rocked my heart the most was being able to get all of the women in my Church's women's ministries' group to donate winter outdoor clothing to a clothing for the needy organization. It was so rewarding!
So God really has taken this frozen heart and defrosted it with His Word...and through amazing ideas and networks like this!
Can't wait for everything you have in store!
God Bless you guys!!

HOME AND LOVE
Hello there guys!!, Well, last Christmas was something very special for me, specially because Christ provided me and my family an unforgetable time of sharing and loving one another. I really feel I have a new motivation for this year, and all I want to say this time is: Love begins at Home, TRY IT!!
Blessings for all of you.
