Water for Water
By Kelly Eastman21 May 2010
Hey there. Welcome to our first Water for Water blog for our friends at I-HEART! We have so much to tell you but to be honest; we weren’t actually too sure where to start. So, taking a lead from Julie Andrews we thought we should start at the very beginning (because it’s a very good place to start) and let you know some of the fundamentals about Water For Water.
* The reality is, Australians spend around $385million dollars a year on bottled water and our hope is to utilise some of that money to help people less fortunate access clean water.
* Water For Water doesn’t just throw a percentage of sales to charities, 100% of our profits go to people who lack access to clean water. We did a lot of research before we chose our first project to be involved with and we are so excited to help change the lives and futures of a community in the Philippines. This is not some corporate social responsibility project; it’s the heart and soul of our business!
* Although selling water is our primary source of raising finance and awareness for those in need, we also have plans to hold local events around the country to raise money so we can build more projects and help more people.
We are putting our FAQ question page together, so send us your questions and we will endevour to answer you as soon as we can.
Kelly.
