Hope for Cambodia
Last year I had the utmost privilege of spending some time in Cambodia and working with various churches, organizations and people who have made the decision to devote their lives to improving the conditions of the country. The first day I was there, I was taken to the killing fields & the Genocide Museum – both a reminder of the affect of the Khmer Rouge on Cambodia during its rule of the country from 1975 to 1979.

One of the goals set is to drastically reduce the maternal mortality rate – the numbers of deaths of expectant mothers.

Extreme Heart Makeover
I am a sucker for reality TV. Seriously, if someone is weighing themselves or trying to win a quick-fire cooking challenge or ripping down a house on TV, I’m there. But, I’ve got to tell you, working at place like Compassion spoils you for pop culture. Suddenly everything is in put in perspective.

Home Sweet Home
Almost all of us have moved at some point in life. Whether it be to a new flat, new city, state or maybe even a new country. Initially home is…well, different. For many of our brothers and sisters around the globe who for whatever reason have become refugees, the idea of home is nothing more than that, an idea.
