People, Care & what life has to offer

Hi my name is Lizette... I'm an ordinary person, one of those you meet everyday! Loving people, like decorating, laughing a lot, like food, love adventure and the list just goes on... I don't know why God chose me to go, but it just shows that God knows better than you do yourself!
It started three years ago...

Me and a couple of friends had planned for a year to go to France. We had a house and we were going to find work when we got there, so the only thing left to do was to book the flight tickets. The tickets were not that expensive, only $60. I was so excited, finally my dream would come true! The dream I had as long as I could remeber, to go and live, work and travel outside Sweden.
We were sitting there and was going to order the tickets and decide a date when we were going. I could hear in my friends voices that they started to get a little nervous. I was a little nervous as well, because it's a big decision to make, but we been planning for so long and now it was only one little click away and then everything was fixed. When it was that close, excuses appeared, it was a too big descion, If they wanted to start studying, travel somewhere else etc.

We ended up not ordering tickets that day and a couple of weeks after that everything was cancelled. I was devastated! I really wanted to go!
A couple of weeks after everything been cancelled, me and another friend where sitting and ordering tickets to Gambia. We'd been there before and was just going to go for 3-4 weeks. In the back of my head I was thinking that I might be there longer, depending on how I liked it. We ordered the tickets and we were so excited! When I was on my way home that day, I get a call from my crying friend that tells me that we need to cancel the tickets because of different circumstances. I was even lower than I was the first time. It was like my dream was crushed into little pieces that I couldn't even pick up. What happened with everything I was suppose to do?? Was it of any worth?? Have I had to big expectations on life??

After a couple of days I decided that I was going to apply for an appartment and work on the following monday, because noone could apparently travel then! I wasn't happy but I decided to make the best of the situation! This was when God got his chance to say what he wanted for my life.....

The Sunday before I was going to settle down I meet Anna. My sister had been telling me about Anna for a year, that we needed to meet each other, but because I was living a little further away and had a lot of other things to do, it never happened. This Sunday I was with my sister to her church and after the service my sister introduce us. She introduced us with "This is Anna and she is going to Sydney in three weeks!". I said "Oh, can I come with you??". She heard that so many times so she said "Yeah, absolut", but then we talked about other things. After a while I asked "Can I really come with you??". Two days after we meet the first time, I had booked my ticket and we had time to meet up three times before we were sitting beside each other on a plan for 30 hours and were going to live together. Total strangers! The same day we flew out we found out that we could live with some pastor that knew a pastor that Anna's parents knew! Strangers again! From there on God just kept working his way in my life...

I never thought I would go to Australia and never in my life bible college! It hasn't been easy, but I could not imagine a better life than what I have now!
God had to really humble me for me even to listen what he had to say!

Whatever happens in life, trust God, he knows what he is doing and what plans he has for you!

Now I'm living here in Australia, loving the country, loving my church, loving the people..... It's been a long road for me, and things that I could never expect happened, but I'm so happy for what life has to offer and what I can pass on to others! God has only revealed a part of my journey and the same for you wherever you are in life!
